Mark is Head of Community Engagement at Trust Investments, where he helps connect investment strategy to the missions of charities, trusts, and for-purpose organisations across Aotearoa and beyond. He brings over 40 years of experience in the nonprofit and philanthropic sectors, including leadership roles at the Prince’s Trust, St. James’s Place Charitable Foundation, Auckland Foundation, and Heart Kids NZ.
Mark’s career has focused on empowering young people and strengthening the work of mission-driven organisations. At Trust Investments, he ensures that the firm’s community partnerships are informed, collaborative, and focused on long-term impact.
He also serves as Chairperson of the Aotearoa NZ Online Giving Foundation and is a board member of disability charity Project Employ, which supports young people with learning disabilities into meaningful employment. Mark is the host of the Purposely Podcast — New Zealand’s #1 nonprofit podcast — where he has interviewed over 250 changemakers from around the world who are driving positive societal and environmental change.
Mark is a passionate advocate for philanthropy as well as purpose-led finance and believes that investment capital, when well-managed, can be a powerful tool for social impact.
